At the heart of all the programs that Ashby House is our Life Skills Curriculum, which is not only facilitated on campus, but at outreach programs at the Saline County Jail and Ellsworth Correctional facility.  Our core curriculum is comprised of 6 core classes, including:

Values Clarification

Decision Making

Goal Setting

Communication

Anger Management

Stress Management

 

The community supports Ashby House’s Life Skills program by volunteering to come in to teach classes.  These presenters are experts in their field, and are too numerous to mention, but a sample includes:

Julie Weems, Weems and Peck-Financial Planning

Lacy Krebs, Heartland Programs- Parenting

Kelly Mobray, Adult Education Center-GED classes and opportunities for adult learning

Karen Rawls-Spirit Living and Empowerment

Diane Pancake, Saline County Health Department- STD education and HIV testing
