SPRING SPRUCE-UP

Saturday April 27th, 8am to Noon

Come join in on this community wide event to help out different organizations in Salina Spruce-Up our city. By helping each organization with their project for that day, this collective effort will make our city beautiful for the upcoming summer and the events that happen during the summer months.

Ashby House would like to all of the volunteers of Salina for the continued support that you have given over the years past. You are a tremendous help to our staff, and we could not get these tasks completed without your help! Come out this year to show your support for Ashby House. Thank you!!!!

Give Monthly, Help Daily. We invite you to become a Friend of Ashby with our monthly giving program. Together we can help build a stronger community where women and families have access to the help they so desperately help.


  • $10 a month translates into one day's worth of meals for a resident.

  • $25 a month makes it possible for 30 residents to participate in a week of Life Skills classes.

  • $50 a month offers a night of safe shelter for a family

  • $100 a month provides an adult transitional housing for a week.

VOLUNTEER


Every year, hundreds of volunteers lend their time and talents volunteering for Ashby House. Our volunteers are integral to the success of our mission. Individuals and groups volunteer in many different ways.


  • Organizing and sorting donations

  • Special projects

  • Instructing children and managing behavior

  • Leading clean up after activities

  • Facilitating Life Skills classes

  • Weekly grocery shopping

  • Planning and helping with holidays and special events

  • Yard work, Spring clean-up, gardening, snow shoveling, etc.

  • Adult and child tutoring (reading, writing, math, computer skills, etc.)

Lend your time and talents to Ashby House in a way that fits your life. You can help with individual projects, take on a formal internship, be 'on call' for projects, or create a long-term mentoring relationship. Volunteer work occurs weekdays or weekends during daytime hours.
